A social media calendar is not something to just give you extra work, it serves a very important purpose – especially for those that are results driven.

Social media is fun and entertaining and many people spend a significant amount of time on social media scrolling for interesting topics, pictures, products and to connect. For example, Entrepreneur Magazine published an article on March 10, 2014 that stated Millennials spend an average of 18 hours a day on social media. Wow! It is an important form of marketing, but not one to just go about without a plan.

Start to think about your current social media outlets you are using. Spend some time looking at your competitors’ social media. Is your social media performing and telling the story you want to tell? If you look at your Instagram as a magazine, is it showcasing you with the photos?

Spend some time this week and make a conscious effort to review. Share some of your thoughts.
